Justice Lokeshwar Prasad Justice Lokeshwar Prasad

Justice Lokeshwar Prasad, M.A., LL.B. - Born on 26 November 1936, he began his career in the Madhya Pradesh State Civil Service. In December 1969, he came on deputation to Delhi as a Judicial Magistrate First Class. Following the formation of Delhi Judicial Service, he was inducted as a member in August 1971. 

From 1972 to 1974, he served as Judicial Magistrate, exclusively handling cases investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation. He then worked as Administrative Sub-Judge/Judge under the Indian Succession Act (1974-1975) and as Deputy Registrar of the High Court of Delhi (1975-1978), before being deputed as Chief Legal Advisor to the Delhi Development Authority. 

In 1979, he was promoted to Delhi Higher Judicial Service. He went on to serve as Secretary (Law & Judicial), Delhi Administration (1980-1985), and later held several positions: Registrar of the Central Administrative Tribunal (Principal Bench) New Delhi; Additional District and Sessions Judge, Delhi; Special Judge, CBI, Delhi; Registrar of the High Court of Delhi; and Additional Sessions Judge, Designated Court Under TADA at Patiala House Courts, New Delhi, where he served until 16th May 1995. 

He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court on 17 May 1995 and became a Permanent Judge on 24 December 1997. He retired from the Bench on 26 November 1998.
