1. The present petition has been filed under Section 29A(4) and 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 19961 seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal by twelve months for conclusion of the arbitral proceedings.

2. Learned Counsel appearing for the Respondent submits that he has no objection to the extension of the mandate for a further period of the twelve months. 


 
3. In view of the above, the present petition is allowed. The mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a further period of twelve months from the date of expiry of the existing mandate. The intervening period, if any, shall also stand regularised. 


 
4. The learned Arbitral Tribunal is requested to make all endeavours to conclude the arbitral proceedings and render the award within the extended period. 


 
5. Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. Pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.
