The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of Bhartiya Nagarika Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, (“BNSS”) to trace and produce the son of the Petitioner, who is about 28 years of age. 2. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that his such son has been missing since 03rd August, 2024. 3. Admittedly, on the basis of complaint received from the petitioner, Police Station Jamia Nagar has already registered FIR No.334/2024 under Section 140 (3) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (Section 367 of Indian Penal Code) on 19.09.2024. 4. As per the Status Report, the investigation is being carried out, and despite best effort being made, at the moment, there is no clue about the son of the petitioner. All the requisites steps have been taken by the Investigating Agency and information has also been forwarded to various other Investigating Agencies. 5. Learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that one suspect namely – Abdul Rahim seems to have fled to Saudi Arabia and a look-out circular (LOC) has already been issued against him. 6. Keeping in mind, the investigation done so far, and the fact that the petitioner is also satisfied with the manner in which the efforts are being made by the Investigation Agency, we, hereby, dispose of the present petition with the direction that the police would keep on making best efforts to find out the missing son of the petitioner and to reach the alleged suspect. 7. At the same time, a periodical Status Report, after every two months, shall be filed before the concerned Magisterial Court by the concerned SHO/IO, with advance copy thereof to the petitioner, highlighting the progress made in the matter. 8.
