				J U D G M E N T (oral)

1. The present petition seeks quashing of FIR No. 566/2023 dated 22.09.2023, registered at Police Station Kalindi Kunj, for commission of offences under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC, along with all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, on the basis of compromise arrived at between the parties.
2. The marriage between petitioner No.1 and respondent No.2 was solemnized on 13.12.2021, as per Hindu rites and ceremonies.  
3. It is submitted that on account of some misunderstanding, respondent No.2 reported the matter to the Police which resulted in registration of the abovesaid FIR. 
4. It is further submitted that all the grievances have been amicably settled before the Principal Counsellor Family Court, Saket, Delhi on 29.08.2024 and the parties have been living together w.e.f 15.10.2024.
5. A settlement deed in this regard has also been prepared, copy of which is already on record. 
6. Learned counsel for respondent No.2 has joined the proceedings through video-conferencing and identifies the respondent No.2. Investigating Officer (I.O) is present in Court and also identifies the complainant.  
7. Respondent No.2 is present in Court and reiterates that the instant FIR was lodged on the basis of some misunderstanding and that she is now residing happily with his husband and all issues have been amicably resolved. 
8. She submits that she has resumed matrimonial ties with the petitioners after burying the hatchet and is, presently, living with her husband and in-laws and has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 
9. It is also informed that she has already withdrawn her petition under Section 125 Cr.P.C and her husband has also withdrawn divorce petition. 
10. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, continuing with criminal proceedings would serve no useful purpose, especially, when the couple is now enjoying matrimonial bliss. Moreover, the dispute does not involve any public interest and is private in nature. 
11. Accordingly, exercising inherent powers vested in this Court under Section 528 of the BNSS, it is deemed appropriate to quash the instant FIR.
12. Consequently, to secure the ends of justice, FIR No. 566/2023 dated 22.09.2023, registered at Police Station Kalindi Kunj, for commission of offences under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC, along with all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, is hereby, quashed. 
13. The petition stands disposed of in aforesaid terms.
