				J U D G M E N T (oral)

1. All these petitions, being connected, are taken up together. 
2. The issue raised in all these petitions is short and precise. 
3. Petitioners herein, along with one Ms. Manorma Dixit, are facing trial for offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881.  There are six separate complaints, albeit, the parties are same, though the cheques are different.  
4. When these six complaints were taken up by the learned Trial Court on 13th instant, there was request from the side of petitioners for adjournment and the counsel representing the petitioners before the learned Trial Court had requested the Court to give a date as she had been recently engaged in the matter and was, therefore, not fully prepared for conducting the cross-examination.  Such request was declined and, simultaneously, right of accused No.1 and 2 (petitioners herein) to cross-examine CW-1 was closed.  
5. Such orders are under challenge. 
6. Learned counsel for the respondent/complainant appears on advance notice and submits that, in order to ensure that there is no further delay in the on-going complaints, they, without prejudice to their rights and contentions, would have no objection if one opportunity is granted to them, albeit, subject to imposition of heavy cost. 
7. The next date of hearing before the learned Trial Court is stated to be 28.02.2026, on which date the complainant is, even otherwise, required to enter into witness box as he has to be further cross-examined by  Ms. Manorama Dixit (A-3).
8. Keeping in mind the facts mentioned in the present petition and, in particular, the gracious concession given by learned counsel for the respondent, the petitions are allowed and the petitioners are permitted to cross-examine the complainant on said date i.e. 28.02.2026.  However, the authorized representative of accused No.1 and accused No.2 himself would appear before the learned Trial Court and the vakalatnama of their counsel, if not already on record of learned Trial Court, would also be submitted and endeavour would be made to cross-examine CW-1 and conclude such cross-examination on said date itself.  
9. For causing delay in the matter, the petitioners are also burdened with cost of Rs.10,000/- in each of the petitions.  Let such cost be also cleared on abovesaid date i.e. 28.02.2026.
10. Petitions stand disposed of in aforesaid terms. 
11. Pending applications also stand disposed of. 
12. Copy of the order be given dasti under signatures of Court Master.
