J U D G M E N T    (ORAL)

1.	Petitioners seek quashing of case FIR No. 657/2018 of Police Station Bhajanpura for offence under Section 498A/406/34 IPC on the ground that the complainant de facto (respondent no. 2) has settled the disputes with the petitioners. 

2.	Learned APP for State, assisted by Investigating Officer/SI Akash, accepts notice and submits that State has no objection to this petition. 

3. 	Respondent no. 2, identified by the Investigating Officer, accepts notice. 

4.	Keeping in mind the nature of these proceedings, I have spoken with respondent no.2 in Hindi and it is stated by her that now she has settled all disputes with the petitioners and they are living together since the year 2019. Respondent no.2 submits that three children were born from her wedlock with petitioner no.1 and all those children are living with them. She submits that since she is living happily with the petitioners since 2019, she does not want to pursue their prosecution.

5.	Having spoken with respondent no.2, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of justice not to compel the parties to undergo full dress trial.

6.	Therefore, the petition is allowed and accordingly the FIR No. 657/2018 of Police Station Bhajanpura for offence under Section 498A/406/34 IPC as well as proceedings arising out of the same are quashed. Accompanying application stands disposed of.
