J U D G M E N T    (ORAL)

1.	The petitioners seek quashing of case FIR No. 692/2022 of PS Bindapur for offence under Section 498A/406/34 IPC on the ground that complainant de facto (respondent no.2) has compromised the disputes with the petitioners.

2.	State has no objection to this petition. Statements of parties have already been recorded by the concerned Joint Registrar.

3.	In her statement dated 22.01.2026, recorded before the concerned Joint Registrar, the present respondent no.2 stated that according to the terms of settlement, she has received the entire amount; and that she does not want to pursue the subject FIR, so the same be quashed. 
4.	After recording of statements, the matter was repeatedly listed before this Court in order to speak with respondent no. 2 to reconfirm her decision. But respondent no. 2 has stopped appearing. Even today she has not appeared despite service of notice issued to her through the Investigating Officer. The service report in that regard is on record. 
5.	Marriage between petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 already stands dissolved by way of decree of divorce dated 28.11.2025.  No child was born from wedlock of petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2. 
6.	Under these circumstances, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of justice not to push the parties through full dress trial.
7.	Therefore, the petition is allowed and FIR No. 692/2022 of PS Bindapur for offence under Section 498A/406/34 IPC as well as proceedings arising out of the same are quashed.
