1. The present petition has been filed under Sections 29A (4) and 29A (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (“A&C Act”) seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of the arbitral award.
2. The arbitral proceedings titled “Hampi Expressways Private Limited vs. National Highways Authority of India” are pending adjudication before the learned Arbitral Tribunal consisting of Hon’ble Mr. Justice R.M. Lodha (Former Chief Justice of India), Hon’ble Mr. Justice T.S. Thakur (Former Chief Justice of India) and Hon’ble Mr. Justice A.K. Sikri (Former Judge, Hon’ble Supreme Court of India).
3. Respective counsel for the parties jointly submit that evidence is in the process of being adduced before the Arbitral Tribunal and, that given the nature of the matter, some further time would be required to complete the arbitral proceedings and for rendering of the arbitral award.
4. Considering the joint request of respective counsel, the present petition is allowed. 
5. The time period for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of the arbitral award is extended till 30.09.2027.
