Justice Prakash Narain

Justice Prakash Narain, B.A. LL,.B. - Born, on 6.8.1923. Educated at Modern School New Delhi; St. Stephens College, Delhi; Allahabad University and the Law College, Lahore. Enrolled as a pleader, Lahore High Court on 23.5.1945 and as advocate of the Punjab High Court on 15.3.1948. Practised on civil and criminal side ( both original and appellate). Worked as Asstt. Govt. Pleader Delhi and Addl. Standing Counsel from 1956 to 1958, Standing Govt. Counsel, Delhi from 1958 to 1963, Addl. Central Govt. Counsel, Punjab High Court from 1963 to 1967 and Central Govt. Counsel, Delhi High Court from 1967 to 1969. Appointed permanent Judge of Delhi High Court w.e.f. 20.01.1969. Appointed as Chief Justice on 08.01.1981(A.N.). Retired on 06.08.1985.
