O R D E R
This pro bono publico petition is suo moto cognizance taken by this
Court. It relates to newspaper reports relating to Bandicoots taking
over Lodhi Gardens . From the newspaper reports, it appears that in view
of large number of bandicoots the soil around the trees are weakening and
several trees, including a large neem and an Asoka, are standing on
ground riddled with holes.
The counsel representing Govt. of NCT of Delhi as well as the NDMC,
who are present in Court, accept notice and seek time to file a report on
the above news item in a given time.
We also noticed that a lot of stray dogs are found in the Lodhi
Garden posing threat to the users. In the meantime, both the respondents
are directed to take immediate action to catch and remove the stray dogs
and report the action taken on the next adjourned dates.
Call this matter on 31.10.2012.
Dasti under the signatures of the Court Master.
